Liwonde National Park

Founded in 1973 Liwonde National Park spans a mass of 550km2. It is approximately  3 hr 39 min (239.2 km) via M1 from Lilongwe and  2 hr 6 min (118.2 km) via M3 from Blantyre.

Liwonde National Park is on the left bank of the Shire River, south of Lake Malawi.
